North Wales High Street Shops with apartments above

11 December, 2023

Bolton Birch is bringing two shops with upper floors to the market in North Wales both in the heart of shopping areas. 3 High Street Wrexham and 57 High Street Holywell are available freehold. They both have potential for conversion to apartments on the upper floors retaining retail, a café or restaurant on the ground floor.

Holywell is the fifth largest town in Flintshire, after Connah’s Quay, Flint, Buckley and Mold. Wrexham became a City in 2022 and is the largest in North Wales after Cardiff, Swansea and Newport in Wales.

3 High Street Wrexham is a character property formerly a bakers and carvery with 853 sq ft  (79.2 sq m) of retail space on the ground floor and a further 3 floors above totaling 2,481 sq ft (230.5 sq m).

57 High Street Holywell has a ground floor level retail space extending to 655 sq ft (60.9 sq m) with the First & Second Floors offering 636 sq ft (59.1 sq m) of what was previously a two bedroom apartment.

Jonty Goodchild, Director at Bolton Birch said;

“A new owner of one or both of these properties has the potential to reinvigorate the high street with retail, entertainment, café, restaurant or bar options. Possible residential apartments above or thriving offices will bring life to these high streets in new ways.”
