Meet the team

Having joined the practice in 1995, Jonty has in excess of 25 years experience in the sale, letting and acquisition of commercial property in Chester, Cheshire, Wirral and North Wales. He is an accredited RICS registered Valuer and also specialises in rent review and lease renewal negotiations.

Jonty has significant experience in the commercial property investment market in all sectors as well as handling development opportunities. When not working, Jonty spends his time fly fishing in Scotland, messing around with boats and running with Hoylake Road Runners.

Martin started his career at Mason Owen's head office in Liverpool in 1994 before setting up his own Chester-based business in 2011, trading as Dodd Commercial Property Management. In 2016, the Dodd Commercial business merged with Bolton Birch and Martin now oversees the management of our broad and diverse client portfolio of commercial properties extending to in excess of 300 leases.

A RICS member since 1997, Martin oversees the property management department including compliance and Client Money Handling. Away from the office, Martin enjoys table tennis, hockey and hiking in the Cheshire and North Wales countryside.

After originally working for Bolton Birch between 1995 and 2000, Linda re-joined the firm in 2016. With over 20 years of experience in administrative services, she now oversees the smooth running of our busy office and assists both Jonty and Martin in administration for sales, lettings and property management. In her downtime, Linda enjoys spending time in her Spanish holiday home and is also a published writer.

Paula was the Head of Finance & Accounts for the well known Abbey Gate College in Chester before joining Bolton Birch in 2021 to assist Martin in the ever-expanding property management department.

As a qualified accountant, Paula fulfils a well defined role for all of our property management financial activities which range from rent and service charge invoicing and collection to end of year reconciliations. Aside from her accounting career, Paula is a keen tennis player, playing for Mold Tennis Club and also enjoys running around her North Wales home and further afield.

Kim started her career at MBNA Bank in Marketing Services before moving into Account Management where she worked with many high-profile brands. In 2016, Kim joined the Bolton Birch team alongside her husband Martin, as property manager. Kim’s key responsibilities include health and safety compliance, supplier contract management, arranging property repairs and service charge administration. Outside of her career, Kim loves Zumba, cooking and walking her dogs.
