Currently used as a day nursery the property is let to Little Ted’s Day Nursery & Academy on a new five year lease. The self-contained single storey building has an interesting past formerly being the wages office for Courtaulds and used for their company balls and dances.

Courtaulds had three factory sites in Flint: Aber Works, Deeside Mills and Castle Works, and two rayon production facilities at Greenfield.  At its height, the Courtauld company employed over 10,000 people in Flintshire.

A Courtaulds in Flintshire exhibition is at Greenfield Valley Heritage Park, Holywell and includes audio recordings of former employees, resource packs for schools and an online catalogue of artefacts. Over 120 former employees and local residents contributed their stories.
