Simon Bolton - Founder of Bolton Birch
Simon has over thirty years experience as a Chartered Surveyor and has worked within the commercial property industry extensively throughout the North of England and North Wales within the public sector and in private practice in both Liverpool and Manchester.
After identifying a gap in the market in 1981 Simon set up the first specialist commercial property consultancy in Chester, then trading as Simon Bolton and Company. He was elected a Professional Associate of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1973 and a Fellow in 1981.
Simon has a wealth of experience in all aspect of commercial property and is a highly respected professional in the region. His area of expertise is wide encompassing valuation, agency, landlord and tenant and specifically development and investment consultancy.
Jonty Goodchild - Head of Office and Industrial Space
Head of The Office and Industrial Space Department Jonty has an extensive knowledge of property values, market conditions and emerging trends in all sectors of commercial property throughout the North West of England, North Wales and the Midlands.
Jonty has over thirteen years experience in our Chester City Centre office and during this time has built up a substantial contact base including property development and investment companies, agents, funds, landlords, tenants and Local Authorities.
Commercial property asset management, selling, leasing and acquiring business premisis and providing consultancy advice on commercial development and investment is Jonty's area of expertise in addition to rent review and lease renewal work.
Jonty has also developed a specific expertise in the sale, acquisition and bringing forward of residential and commercial development sites and can offer a full consultancy service in this sector. He has been involved in a consultancy capacity in the majority of recent residential and mixed-use developments in and around Chester and also advises clients on sites further afield.
Jonty holds both a BSc Honours Degree and a Masters Degree in Estate Management and was elected an Associate of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1998.
Richard Bolton - Head of Retail
Richard spent his early years in practice within the high street retail department of the leading West End based practice of Conrad Ritblat, now part of Colliers and was elected an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1985.
Richard joined the company in 1982 focusing on high street retail agency and now represents many local and regional retailers, acquiring and disposing shop premises, advising on landlord and tenant issues and also advising developers on retail led opportunities, both in and out of town.
